A Piece of Work-in-Progress
Entering the 6th year living in NYC, I still find myself loving the city more and more everyday. New York City is an on-going competition ground for the best architects in the world. I have worked with many architecture firms on buildings in the city, from the World Trade Center, to the Hudson Yards, historical or residential, art museum or monument. I want to document their beauty through my hand drawing.
Buildings in New York are full with surprises and stories.Through Grand Central Terminal, you can find acorns and oak leaves everywhere in the building's details and ornaments. The floating hats mosaic found in the NRW 23rd Station refer to the strong draft of wind that whistles around the corner of the Flatiron Building. There were also champagne and wine cellars under the Brooklyn Bridge.
